Lets not take ourselves too seriously here. These are blogs, they will be fun, informative and entertaining. They will not be well structured, you will find gramatical errors and hopefully you will enjoy them.
The hardest part to writing is coming up with the perfect first line. It makes or breaks the rest of the piece. You can imagine the amount of pressure there is in writing the first line, in the first blog of a website.
To start off with, I am the new guy around here. I have been the web producer for about two months now, and like most of the people reading this, I am a long time fan of European Car. I have been a car guy basically from birth. My Dad is a car guy, my older brother is a car guy, I couldn’t help it if I tried.I have owned several VWs and currently have a MK4 1.8t as my daily and a 911SC that is awaiting official project car status. I worked for a car company, I have raced cars and have spent countless hours laying on cold concrete wrenchin on my own and other’s cars. I told you, I’m a car guy.
We have a lot on the horizon for our website. We realize it isn’t the best looking site, or even the smoothest to navigate right now, but that’s about to change. We will still have incredible content from the magazine, plus lots of web exclusive content. We are branching out into multimedia with audio and video. The first of which will go along with our coverage of the 2006 SEMA show. From the show we will do photo updates, and once the show is over, we will compile all the video we shoot and come up with the best of the best from the show.
Hopefully everyone liked the Viewfinder feature on the Lambo. Viewfinder will be a monthly look at the internal workings of European Car. Hopefully it will give you an appreciation of what it takes to put out a magazine like European Car every month. So stick around, watch things change and improve. If you have feed back, feel free to let us know how we’re doing. Oh and for all you Vdub guys out there screaming for more coverage, keep watching the website for our first web project car and other VW content.
