I don't hate any one brand of car, I don't "Hate" any cars, I just don't like certain cars. To be a car guy(car person) do you have to like everything on four wheels? If you do I don't think you have really thought this whole car guy thing through.
I was recently labeled a "Hater"(it's a term used to describe someone who has a personal bias towards something for no good reason) by a Honda fan. I don't hate Hondas in general. I think they build a nice reliable economy car that represents a good value. They make a couple of engines that definitely put out some impressive numbers, but does having respect for what they build mean I have to love them? Kenny G and Michael Bolton are both very talented people I'm sure, but I don't like their music.
I like European cars, but I don't even like all European cars. I recently drove a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. I am a huge Porsche fan, I own one, I have driven many and hope to own many more, but I still didn't like the Cayenne. It is very fast, the interior is very nice but I just didn't enjoy driving it. A few days before that I had a Cayman, just the regular base car, nothing fancy. The Cayenne has a price tag of 133 Grand, while the Cayman was about a third of that. The Cayman was ten times more enjoyable to drive than the Cayenne. With that said, there were still things on the Cayman that bugged me too, so I am not just a sports car snob that loves every sports car that Porsche builds.
Cars are a very subjective thing; some cars may be very good products, but that doesn't mean everyone has to like them. This is even more true when it comes to performance cars. No one needs a performance car. It is bought out of pure emotion, something about the car sparks something inside of you that doesn't need to be explained. If everyone found the exact same qualities ideal for everything there would only be one vehicle sold, not to mention it would make relationships very difficult. One guy and one girl would be extremely busy while the rest of us waited our turn.
If you like something then enjoy it, but don't get all bent out of shape when someone else doesn't share your opinion.
