According to the eBay auction, this 2004 Porsche Carrera GT up for sale was previously owned by Daniel Sadek, the producer of the movie "Redline" and was damaged during the movie's filming (important note: this is not the C-GT that gets thrown off of the cliff during the movie; oh no, that was the other C-GT).
With four days left until the e-gavel drops, the supercar is still priced at $300,000 less than the cost of a new C-GT. Not a bad deal really, if you've got a few tools and your C-GT shop manual handy.
The Silver C-GT features a brown interior and boasts only 1119 miles. While damaged is contained only to the left front, parts that need to be replaced include the front bumper cover, left front brake rotor, left front wheel, front and rear under trays, and front axle. Definitely not cheap repairs; but then again, when exactly did cheap and Porsche belong in the same sentence?
So if you happen to have a few hundred grand in the bank, go ahead and place a bid. Just don't back out of the deal, else you'll unleash some bitterness. Check out the letter directed to deadbeat bidder Helmut Rehm from Germany. Since most of us can't afford the car, the least we can get is some lowbrow amusement from someone calling another person "the lowest piece of *** that walks the earth"-the pinnacle of professionalism.
