these are actual magnesium wheels...the real thing. a classic.
as i got home i began to wonder what the hell i was going to do with these things. They're classics, right? that means they can go on any car and lend an aire of class.
i don't think so.
i tried to imagine what these would look like on my e46 m3. it made me throw up a little.
so what makes a wheel a "classic" anyway? rims from panasport, bbs and weld wheel have managed to retain the same basic look over the last 40 years while other wheel guys have gone through dozens of new designs, some going out of fashion in less than 6 months.
i tend to be conservative in my wheel choices. this new r32 in my garage is getting a new set of rims, most likely bbs or hre. they will probably be a classic (there's that word again) mesh design.
i wish i was more creative with my wheel choices. but at the end of the day, certain cars wear certain wheels.
is that a rule or something?
