Mini released a short film in honor of the London 2012 olympics, taking place in London, starring a number of British Olympic athletes and paying homage to the 1969 classic movie, the Italian Job.
The film celebrates Mini's partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB. It features stars including Daley Thompson, James Cracknell, Jonathan Edwards and Matthew Pinsent. They attempt to track down the perpetrator of a fictional night-time heist - Jodie Kidd.
The video was directed by Phil Churchward from BBC Top Gear, it includes stunts performed by red, white and blue London 2012 special-edition Minis.
The video climaxes in a final stunt in which the three Minis jump across a 30ft gap in close formation in front of the Olympic Stadium.
The stunt driving was coordinated by Paul Swift. He's a multiple Guinness World Record holder and seven-time British Motorsport Champion. He's world-renowned for precision driving, a professional stunt driver and experienced stunt coordinator for TV & commercials. Some of his team's TV and film work includes BBC Top Gear and Captain American.
The motorcycle stunts were performed by Dougie Lampkin, a champion who trials rider who has set a series of records including seven consecutive outdoor titles, an unbeaten 99 GP wins, 170 rostrum finishes and amassed an unmatched 3944 World points in total.
