BMW Powered handcrafted post-war racecar
Collector car auctions are hot. With rare and desirable cars reaching into the multi-millions. But what about cars that need a little attention but are just as desirable as those crossing the luxury auction blocks around the globe.
Auctions America has been working with Terry Bennett and has been able to assemble a large portion of his 20-year collection of cars, parts and memorabilia. From September 21-22, Rollisford, NH will become a feeding frenzy for avid collectors and enthusiasts looking to get into their hands on history.
Perusing through the massive 1000+ NO RESERVE lots, we came across a few cars that could prove to be worth while. Take, for example, one of the highlighted lots, a hand-built Honoré Wagner BMW Post War Race Car, or several Alfa Romeo Race cars mixed in with plenty of Austin Minis. One surprising lot is a Halibrand American Red Ball Indy Race Car. If cars aren't in your budget there are plenty of vintage Ducati and BSA motorcycles ready to see the roads again.
While a good majority of the catalog is in need of attention, the fact that nearly every lot has all its original pieces makes restoration less of a headache for the lucky buyer.
This is one event we wish we could make it to with an extra $5-10k dollars to pick up a timeless classic of our own. Auctionsamerica.com
